At the subtle suggestion of one of my readers at One Food Guy, I've decided to launch a grassroots campaign to encourage Trader Joe's to bring back Trader Ming's Vegetarian Spinach and Tofu Egg Rolls that recently left the freezer case, hopefully only temporarily.
I'm new to grassroots campaigns so come along for the ride and help me bring back the Trader Ming's Vegetarian Spinach and Tofu Egg Rolls that we all love and miss!
First, start by leaving a comment so I know you're on board with me and want to join this campaign.
Second, send an note to Trader Joe's using this form and tell them that you would like for them to bring back Trader Ming's Vegetarian Spinach and Tofu Egg Rolls.
Finally, spread the word! Tell all your friends, your family, your co-workers, even the people you know at your local Trader Joe's about this blog and this grassroots campaign to bring back Trader Ming's Vegetarian Spinach and Tofu Egg Rolls!!
I've been told that there is precedent for bringing back items that have been removed from stores, help me, help us get Trader Ming's Vegetarian Spinach and Tofu Egg Rolls back in the store!

I went to Trader Joe's this weekend and was absolutely CRUSHED to learn they no longer carry the Spinach Tofu Egg Rolls. Thank you for starting this campaign!!
They are the only vegetable my 4 year old will eat. He's going crazy asking me everyday when I'm going to get more -- I must say, I miss them as well.
Hi Michelles and Karen - all I can say is spread the word. Email Trader Joe at TraderJoes.com and ask them to bring back the egg rolls!
I'm so glad there are others out there who want them back! I e-mail Trader Joe's too, and will spread the word!
I was also crushed to find that the egg rolls been discontinued. When I confronted the Trader Joe's manager, he said the Company went bankrupt!
I emailed TJ's, as I am still mourning the loss of these tasty nutritious treats. I seriously cried the day my local TJ manager told me they were discontinued.
How can we get this campaign to more TJ's fans?

I love these things and I can not believe they stopped making them. My wife told me that they stopped. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I love these things.
Hi All - I'm hopeful that the Health is Wealth Spinach Tofu Egg Rolls that anonymous identified above are the same. I've been informed by the Health is Wealth folks that it's possible that the Stop & Shop or Whole Foods in my town may carry them. If not, they'd like special order them for me.

It has to be the same item, the ingredient and nutritional info are exactly the same. I am glad to help since I know what it's like to find a product discontinued at TJ (I use to love their mini roast pork buns)

I did a quick search since TJ outsources their products and brands them with their name HEALTH IS WEALTH makes a spinach and tofu egg roll that has the exact same ingredients in the same order. The egg roll is the same size as well. I've seen this brand in several health food stores and large supermarkets.
Ingredients, size and nutrition info are exactly the same.

We hardly shop at Trader Joe's anymore since the main reason we shopped there was for the SPINACH TOFU ROLLS. They lost a lot of our business since they discontinued this most delicious product.

G, it's unfortunate that you've shunned TJ's because they stopped carrying the spinach and tofu egg rolls. There are so many great, affordable products that TJ's sells, to stop shopping there because one product wasn't making THEM money is a shame.
Anyway, spinach and tofu egg roll lovers REJOICE!! As Mr. Phil previously pointed out, the Health is Wealth Spinach Tofu Egg Rolls are strikingly similar in package, and guess what...THEY ARE GREAT!!!

I'm glad to know about the apparent alternative (hope I can actualy get my hands on them) but I sooo want TJ's to bring them back. I really can't understand why they removed them from the stores - in my local area they were always selling out! Anyway, I've been asking in the store & calling their customer service #626-599-3817 which you should definitely call - it can't hurt!

After moving to mo from va last dec, my wife came home from our new Trader Joes with no spinach/tofu eggrolls. She said they were discontinued. I was stunned. I then called the 3 other local TJ's. Found one (an hour round trip away) that had 18 left. I rushed out to buy the last ones in the St Louis metro area. We still have a few left - I may never eat the last package.
My wife and I have been eating TJ's spinach and tofu eggrolls for at least 5 years. Let's get them back!
These are hands down my favorite Trader Joe's item. I ate at least one eggroll (2 if it were my dinner) almost daily for about a year. When they were discontinued, I was in disbelief. Everyone I know who shops at Trader Joe's bought these regularly and MISSES them. I already left my comment at the TJ site. Thanks for doing this. I hope the movement works!

Yes, Health is Wealth is the same product but it's like $5.50 a pack. I know TJs wasn't that expensive.

oh i can't believe this site exists! i sent an email to TJ's telling them how absolutely crushed i was. i had ONE package left and i returned home to find they had been eaten by one of my family members....i had been cherishing each last one and now they are gone!

I miss, miss, miss my spinach and tofu eggrolls. I would seriously eat them EVERY NIGHT for dinner if I could. They were the best, and I would buy cases of them if they were available again. Yummy.
I just found out today. First it was the soy poppers and now this! What a catastrophe! :O)

I'm OBSESSED with these egg rolls and I miss them desperately. Now I'm left to buy the ridiculously high-priced "Health is Wealth" brand at local health food stores ($5 for 3 egg rolls!). Bring them back, Trader Joe's!!!!
